Ancient Architecture
U of M Law Quad - The Law Quad is a huge building with lots of historic architecture, perfect for taking photos. The place is giant so I had a lot of different options when taking photos. I took photos from many different angles trying to get the towers and arches in the building. I liked photographing it because there were a lot of patterns but unique parts too. I like this building because you can appreciate all the work that went into making it.
Built From Stone
Kelsey Museum of Archeology - The Kelsey Museum of Archeology is a building on campus with a lot of cool features to it. The building houses more than 100,000 artifacts. I chose to photograph it because I saw all the stones. I thought they created a lot of good texture and patterns. I tried to get a lot of different views when photographing it.
The Plans
Ross School of Business - This building is newly built and is very interesting and modern. I like it because its filled with tons of different lines that intersect and make patterns. You can tell a lot of repetitive elements were used when designing it to create pattern. There is also a lot of different color used in it for contrast. I chose to photograph it because I liked the modern appeal.
Around the Bend
Khan Auditorium - The Khan Auditorium is a dome shaped building on U of M campus. I decided to take a pictures of it for several reasons. I really liked its curvy modern design and liked how it reflected light. I also liked all the vertical parallel lines, which I used to create pattern. Overall I think it's a really cool building and there's a lot of things you can do with it.
Sky High
U of M Hospital - I got a lot of really great shots photographing the hospital. The building contains a lot of leading lines that lead your eyes through the image. I tried to photograph the top of the building and get the sky. The sky was a bright blue and contrasted well with the building. In one of them I even got a really cool shot of the sun beaming through.
